What a Fun Conference Week!

Hello Open School Families,

So, this week we launched our first ever Open School Virtual Conference Week and I must say that it was really fun! Not only did it allow for innovative student sessions, but it also allowed time for students, teachers and parents/ guardians to meet one-on-one to discuss each child's progress and goals.

One of our 16 guiding principles of Open School is “Not all learning is classroom-based,” and I think we proved that this week. There is so much learning in our environment and I thank you all forjoining me on this journey this week. One more day to go! So many fun activities from Got Game,  Dairy Council, BMX, Percussion and so much more.

One way to keep the fun going is to check out some of the activities that families can do together at home. Please try the Home Lab Bubble Snake that students learned about in Mad Science yesterday. Ms. Stacy Barnhisel also taught us what happens to Slime in Space and would like to share the special slime recipe with everyone.

I would like to give a special shout out to Mira Rosenthal (Open School Parent) for helping Ms. Roth, Ms. Jessica and I plan such an engaging and fun-filled week for our kids.

I wish everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving. Please rest, enjoy family, put the screens away and re-energize.

See you on Monday, November 30th bright and early at 9 am for our Morning Assembly.

In partnership,

Antoinette
