Back to School Picnic

The Back to School Picnic is a great way for new and returning families, staff, and alumni to kick off the school year.  Held shortly before school starts, it is a chance to meet the teachers and children in your new cluster, welcome new families, and see old friends.

At the picnic you can also purchase cluster t-shirts and get information on Open School events and find out how to get involved.  There will be a special welcome event for new families before the picnic begins.

The picnic is potluck. Select an item from the list below according to the cluster your child will be entering in the Fall.  (If your child does not yet have a cluster assignment, use the grade level as a guide.)  Bring your item ready to serve, with enough to feed at least 8 people.

  • Green, Red, Silver Clusters (grades K-2):  Fully Cooked Entrées
  • Indigo, Orange and Yellow Clusters (grades 2-4): Salads or Side Dishes
  • Purple and Blue Clusters (grades 4-5), Faculty, Staff, and Alumni:
    - Last Name A-K: Fruit or Vegetable Trays or Desserts
    - Last Name L-Z:  Drinks

Please see the news and calendar entries below this entry for details on each year's picnic.  They will be available several weeks in advance.
