If you are a third grader and have multiplication with Ms. Lauren, here is a video about arrays and the number line strategies as seen in the multiplication facts packet. You are welcome to email us with pictures of arrays or number lines you are making.

Learning from Home Day 8 (Article)

On Monday,  Superintendent Beutner made the announcement that LAUSD schools will be closed until at least May 1st.  As we make the transition to Virtual Learning, we teachers will participate in professional developments aimed at making this experience as smooth as possible.  That said, we want to inform you of some calendar changes. This Friday, teachers will be in a full-day PD. Sadly, that means that our Friday Mystery Reader meeting will have to be postponed.  Next week, we will be on a minimum day schedule (8:05 to 12:50) Monday to Thursday.

Good Morning Silver Cluster,

As you may know, we will be out of school until at least May.  We are receiving more information from the district and as a staff we are diligently working on how best to serve the needs of our students.  This looks different at every age and grade level. We are committed to our students and we want to ensure access and equity for all.  We are working on what this will look like in Silver Cluster and will update you soon.  Thank you for your patience.

Hi everyone!

Here are some more videos for today.

First up is another read aloud set during the Revolutionary War.  This is a book called The Scarlet Stockings Spy and is about how a young girl and her brother helped spy for the Patriots during the war.  It is a bit sad, along with being inspiring, so just be forewarned.
