JPL Fieldtrip-Chaperones Needed

Hi Everyone,

We are super happy to let you know that our first fieldtrip of the year will be to NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena.  We will be visiting on Friday, November 15th.  We would love to have volunteers to help chaperone this trip to make it as successful as can be!  If you are interested in attending this trip, please email us right away at indigo.clusteratme.com.  PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL.  We need you to email us directly as sometimes the information doesn't come through if you hit reply and this is a time sensitive situation(so if we don't get your email, we can't add you to the list later).  Here are some guidelines given to us from JPL.  If after reading them you are still interested in attending, please email us letting us know and please include your full name as listed on your Driver's license/passport, no later than Tuesday, October 22nd by 12:00 noon.  We will add you to our list in the order you emailed us and may not be able to accommodate everyone that wants to attend.  We have been given a limited number of spots so please only email if you are really interested in going.  This is a secure government facility so the names will be submitted next week of everyone in attendance from our school and we will not be able to add anyone to the list if someone drops out.

  • All US citizens 18 years of age and older visiting JPL MUST present official, government-issued photo identification, such as a driver's license or passport, before being allowed entry.
  • Anyone not on our approved roster will not be allowed on to the facility. *Note: Substituting roster names the day of the tour is not allowed*
  • All non-US citizens (Foreign Nationals) 18 years of age or older MUST present either a passport or resident visa (green card) before being allowed entry. Individuals without the appropriate identification will NOT be admitted to the facility.
  • The tour includes considerable walking and stair climbing. Dress comfortably and appropriately for the weather. Wheelchairs can be accommodated with prior notice. Cameras are allowed on the tour. *Note: All tours are conducted in English*
  • To control the traffic flow in our visitor reception center, upon arrival, please send only one representative into the visitor reception building to notify us of your arrival. Please try to limit and/or control your guests' access to the JPL Store and restrooms.
  • We now have a "virtual" tour of JPL available online that is designed for students, but available to everyone. We encourage you and your students/members to visit the site at: http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/pso.

Again, if you are still interested, please email us your full name as it appears on your Driver's License/Passport at indigo.clusteratme.com by Tuesday, October 22nd at noon.  We will send an email confirmation next week if we are able to add you to the list.

Thanks so much,

Stacy and Regina
