Continuity of learning

Hello Indigo Cluster Families,

LAUSD announced school closures effective Monday, March 16, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Today at school, we are calmed by the carefree spirit of happiness exuding from your children as they enjoyed their Friday free time and we compiled materials to send home with your child today. During this time of flux and so many uncertainties, we revel in the smiles and joy children always seem to bring.

LAUSD has announced that school will be closed for two weeks, though constant assessment of our current circumstances may cause this to shift. We have created a Continuity of Learning Plan for our students to continue learning and explorations away from school during the closure. We are striving to provide support and a number of resources both digital and paper and pencil activities that will be sent home in an envelope today. If your child is not at school today, you may come by school to pick up your child's envelope today.

We have included a few math packets which cover content that we are in the process of covering as well as material to support moving forward, a Lemonade War packet, a Word Study Packet, a Fry Words packet, a set of lined paper to be used for reader's response and writing assignments, and a cover sheet detailing the plan for language arts (expect a follow up email before the week begins giving further details) and a list of math and science resources to take advantage of including online resources such as ST Math and Kids a-z, Spelling City, and Lexia.

Please check your e-mail communication during this school closure.  Thank you for your patience as we get through these unchartered waters together.  If you have any questions, please reach out to us.  We are here for you and your children.

In partnership,
Stacy and Regina
