Red Cluster Update

Hello Red Cluster Families,

LAUSD has just announced that school will be closed for two weeks starting Monday, March 16, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In light of this announcement, your child will bring home materials to continue their learning.  We are sending home several items.  We have included math work in their math folders, a Counting Collections journal, writing paper to use as a writing journal,  2 weeks of spelling lists/packets, and a Lemonade War packet. Of course, online resources such as ST Math and Lexia are encouraged. We do not expect for all of these activities to be completed, but we would like each student to complete their spelling packets, make progress in their math packets, complete the additional math activities we have sent home, and write one journal entry each day.

There are several websites that are also giving free subscriptions in response to school closures.  We have included a link to a science lesson called " Why don't trees blow down in the wind?" that ties into our animal adaptations and Biomimicry science unit.

Please check your e-mail communication during this school closure.  Thank you for your patience as we get through these unchartered waters together.  If you have any questions, please reach out to us.  We are here for you and your children.

In partnership,

Joey and Stacy
