Important: Learning Management Systems Update

In an effort to communicate with you all more efficiently (and hopefully keep information all in one place) and to manage the curriculum that we will be delivering, we are going to be working with two new programs after Spring Break.  Class Dojo is a program that will allow us to communicate with you about your child and send announcements to all the families.   Your child will be logging in everyday to receive a morning message and receive guidance and encouragement for the day ahead.  Seesaw is a program that your child will use to complete and turn assignments in and keep a digital portfolio of their work.  We have mailed information to your home as to how you can log into the programs.  You will have a Class Dojo page that tells how you as a parent can login to connect to our class (have your child set up their account first), another Class Dojo page that will tell how your child will login, and a Seesaw page that will tell how your child will login.  Please take the time to create these accounts for you and your child during Spring Break as these are the platforms from which we will be teaching your child for the remainder of the year.  For example, when they have a Zoom call scheduled, it will be announced through these platforms, or to find out what their school day will look like, they will need to login.  We will have a fun activity waiting for them once they log in so that we know they have been successful with using the systems.  Below you will find helpful resources to guide you, but step by step instructions are included in the letters you will receive.  Please place those letters in an extremely safe place.  They are password sensitive and generated for each family and each child.

Today's Highlights

  • Lemonade War Zoom at 9:30 (see Language Arts Continuity email for call in)
  • Small Group Math Zoom 11:00 am (if applicable, see email for call in)

Frequently Asked Questions (Either ones that were asked, or that you might want to ask!):

*Will my child be required to work over Spring Break?

No way!!!! Although we are planning on sending work home during the break, please do not have your child complete it.  We just wanted to make sure you all have it once school resumes after Spring Break.  Please keep the materials you receive in a safe place.

*My family is already familiar with Classdojo/Seesaw, is it ok to start an account for them?

Not yet!  Please wait until you receive the letters from us.  This will make sure you and your child are linked to Indigo Cluster.
